PM also has the added benefits of adding extra little details to SCS's work, there's a whole host of unique local signs in Austria for example. So in that regard, you're not exactly missing out on vanilla map improvements if you're still running ProMods. When PM 2.66 releases it will have all of SCS's latest city rebuilds in Germany included. Spain is now a mix of SCS's Iberia DLC and PM's old Spain, with the best bits from each version cherry picked and combined into one. Obviously there's the extra areas that PM adds that aren't included in the base map (Iceland, Northern Scandinavia, The west Balkans (soon to arrive from SCS too), etc) and that PM still has the upper hand over areas that SCS hasn't rebuilt yet (The UK, going east areas, etc).īut it should also be noted that pretty much all of the latest Vanilla map improvements have also come to the PM map ProMods Austria was completely replaced with SCS's (better) version when it was released. However, with that said, I wouldn't see it as a reason to stop using ProMods if you've already been using it. The base game is definitely getting better and is significantly better than it was a few years ago, and as such there's definitely enjoyment to be had out of playing the vanilla map. (ProMods dev here so consider there's probably bias at play here)
